ITS Help Desk provides the first line of support to the college community on the services provided by the Information Technology Services department. Areas of support include:
 
Computer accounts SITNet ID, Webforms, Discoverer, DocuShare, Turnitin, SLN/CourseSpace, Angel
ITS supported labs Requests for printer supplies, trouble calls
Lab software query
Instructor computers (classrooms & conf. rooms) Install required software with applicable license (please give at least 2 days notice for any software installation requests)
Offices Set up, trouble shooting on computer equipment and peripherals, telephones, and network connections in on-campus offices, restore and transfer user data from network drives
Office computer requirements
Network Campus-wide network connections, ResNet network connections, contact point for campus Internet service
Software Request software in offices via Request Tracker ticket.

Consulting services Recommend equipment for offices and residential student connections.
Discounts on personal purchases are available to students, faculty and staff at the Dell and Apple web sites.
Documentation Instructions for using core systems and applications

The Help Desk also provides end user training through workshops, new employee orientations, user documentation and drop in sessions. Students, faculty and staff can stop by for help on using enterprise-wide systems and applications.

It is also serves as the point of contact for the SUNY Learning Network systems, and Turnitin. Note that the SUNY Learning Network, and Turnitin offer help on their respective web sites.

The ITS Help Desk will not
  • install or support illegal or recreational software, or un-paid shareware
  • illegally duplicate software
  • repair or support personally owned computers
